Each visit begins with vitals and an EKG, followed by a thorough medical history and physical exam, after which the doctor will determine whether an echocardiogram is needed—rest assured, there are no needles, shots, or invasive procedures during the visit. To help your appointment go smoothly, please bring any hospital or ER paperwork, available insurance information, completed new patient forms, and comforting items such as toys or a bottle for infants

A native Angeleno, Dr. Hidalgo is honored to care for children and families in the community she calls home. She earned her undergraduate degree from Yale University and her medical degree from Wake Forest School of Medicine, then completed her pediatric residency at Columbia University Medical Center in New York. She went on to receive specialized training in pediatric cardiology at UCLA Mattel Children’s Hospital and is board certified in both Pediatrics and Pediatric Cardiology.



Fluent in Spanish, Dr. Hidalgo is committed to providing warm, compassionate, and comprehensive care for patients from newborns through young adulthood. She blends advanced clinical expertise with a thoughtful, family-centered approach, supporting patients and parents at every step of their child’s heart care journey.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Hidalgo enjoys cooking, traveling, and spending quality time with her husband and three children.
