What to expect during your first visit
A visit to the cardiologist doesn't have to be scary!
We are honored that you are considering us as your child’s doctor, and we deeply value the trust families place in us. Watching children grow, thrive, and achieve their milestones is one of the greatest privileges of working in pediatrics, and it’s a responsibility we take to heart every day.
Every visit starts off with vitals and an EKG. Then the doctor will take a thorough history and perform a physical exam. Next, she will decide if an echocardiogram is necessary during the visit. You can reassure your child that are are no needles, shots or anything invasive during the visit!

What To Bring
- Any paperwork from the hospital, including ER visits and admissions.
- Any available insurance information (often only the parent’s insurance is available at the first visit).
- Comforting or distracting toys to keep your child calm during the exam and cardiac studies
